Trains, I LOVE EM!

What's going on everyone!? Tonight for the "Game a Day" challenge my lovely wife, beautiful daughter and I played Train Maker. It's yet another of my favorite games (ok, I know I've got a LOT of favorites..lol.) and it's always a blast to play.

Tonight our beautiful daughter walked away with yet another win under her belt and it seemingly game out of nowhere! She finished her turn and I rolled the dice for my turn and she's like "Oh, by the way, I won!".

It's dark down here!

What's going on everyone!? Tonight for the "Game a Day" challenge by beautiful daughter and I played another great dice game... Dungeon Roll!

It was an even match from the start but on the third delve she REALLY took a lead and I just couldn't catch up! She ended up scoring 28 points to my measly 14! In a game like this I was proud to see her do so good and loved seeing the gears in her head work as she figured out her best options.

All in all it was another great game night with her and once school starts back I'm sure going to miss her being able to stay up late with me to play a game.

On the Hunt!

What's going on everyone!? Today my lovely wife had to work a 16 unfortunately so she wasn't home this evening to play a game. Luckily I recruited my beautiful daughter and together we played Raptor for the "Game a Day" challenge!

It is a GREAT game and definitely something I can see myself wanting to play more of. I really like how it has a modular board as well as miniatures AND punch out terrain!

We had a blast playing it and my daughter ended up winning with Team Raptor by killing all of my scientists on the board, she even managed to get one baby safely into the jungle as well!

Pixelated Perfection

What's going on everyone!? Today for the "Game a Day" challenge my lovely wife and I decided to play some Boss Monster 2 since I was in the mood for some vintage video gaming this week. It was a blast to play as usual but just as I thought I had the upper hand a single adventurer made it through my dungeon and killed me!

As usual, it was a wonderful time spent with my lovely wife and I always look forward to playing games like this with her.

Gaming with Friends!

What's going on everyone!? Today we went to our great and gracious friends again for dinner and gaming. We ended up bringing Code Names, Shootout! and as always, Roll For It!

We didn't get a chance to play all of the games but we did have just enough time to bust out Roll For It! since it's a game everyone is familiar with.

As always, it was a great time with great food, great gaming and surrounded by great friends!

I didn't have a chance to take a lot of pics but I got a couple to share.

Dragon Slaying!

What's going on everyone!? Today has been yet another busy day! With my friend and fellow board gamer Nathan launching his kickstarter campaign for Game of Energy, I had been trying to get a video review together for him for the launch but it seemed everything was not working in my favor.

So today, with all the heat(we have no A.C.) and a LOT of sweating I was able to get a "one shot" review up for him. Feel free to check it out below and then jump on over to his kickstarter page to check out his fun game!

For the "Game a Day" challenge this evening, my beautiful daughter and I decided to play Dragon Slayer Dice. It's a great little dice game with wonderful dice and it's one of my favorites every time it makes it to the table.

It was a VERY close battle between the two of us. I had hit the 40 point mark first but she had one more chance to catch up. Being that she was at 34 I was certain she was going to overtake me for the win. For some reason though, the dice gods decided to give this one to me and she unfortunately botched it on her first dragon hunt of the end turn.

As much as it was a joy to win, it doesn't bother me to lose either. I couldn't help but feel a bit bad for her loss but she dealt with it like a champ! :)

Um... We're Screwed...

What's going on everyone!? Today for the "Game a Day" challenge my lovely wife, beautiful daughter and I all three played Meteor!

It really is an intense game as a three player game and it was tons of fun but it seemed no matter what we tried we failed all attempts to save the planet! After a few different rounds of the game I decided to let them try it out as a two player game and wouldn't you know, they won within the last 20 SECONDS or so!

Beam me down!

What's going on everyone!? Today for the "Game a Day" challenge my lovely wife and I got in a quick game of the Star Realms app and Mint Tin Aliens before she had to head to bed.

We had an intense battle in Star Realms and for the first time on the app I had actually won a game! If you would ever like to be part of the "Game a Day" challenge with me and have either Star Realms OR Cthulhu Realms app feel free to check out my facebook page and post your username on there. I'll be sure to send you a challenge if/when the time comes. :)

Mint Tin Aliens was a great game and just the right time length so fill before her bed time. Surprisingly I didn't lose! ... Well... I didn't WIN either. We actually managed to tie which isn't something we've done yet with this game!

All in all it was a great game and I was glad to spend a few minutes with my busy wife this evening.

Pint Sized Pirates!

What's going on everyone!? Today for the "Game a Day" challenge I was running out of time but luckily my beautiful daughter was there to play some Mint Tin Pirates with me tonight!

After a quick sea battle she got the upper hand and then rolled for the win by getting one of my crew to commit mutiny and join her ship, eliminating the rest which gave me the ghost crew member for my ship and finally by rolling exactly what she needed in order to get rid of him as well!

Shew, tis a rough life for a pirate!

Time for a shower!

What's going on everyone!? Today for the "Game a Day" challenge my beautiful daughter and I tried out Meteor this evening. It's a VERY addicting game and and after one success we decided to try our luck again. The second time was a failure, Third time was a success and the last time was a failure.

The game is DEFINITELY a fun one to play and my daughter couldn't get enough of it!

Quality time...

What's going on everyone!? Today has been a VERY eventful day. Had some daddy, daughter time with my beautiful daughter this morning shooting at cans and apples and a pie tin. It was a great experience with my daughter since we've not got to "shoot stuff" as she put it, in over a year now.

For the "Game a Day" challenge my lovely wife and I went head to head in Cthulhu Realms at the table this evening. She completely annihilated me at the game as she usually does but it was fun as always and we even put the life counter app to use which was VERY convenient!
